AMR ISMAIL
Born in 1971, Cairo - Egypt.
​
With the growing of electronic music in the 70's and early 80's, Kraftwerk, Jean-Michel Jarre, Vangelis, Giorgio Moroder, Depeche Mode and many others, Amr became obsessed with the genre that paved the road to the future music of the 2000's.
​
As a teenager, his father brought him his first set of electronic gear, The Yamaha DX-21 synthesizer, RX-21 Drum Machine, Casio SK-1 mini sampler, Amr started sketching his first melodies, keen to create his own style of music, a fusion of electronic vibes and the magical middle eastern melodies.
In the early 90's, and with the release of his first music Album "Rahil" which had a great success, Amr became a pioneer of Egyptian new age & electronic music.
Now, as a composer, producer, arranger, and one of the prominent film composers in Egypt and The Middle East. with over 62 blockbuster movies, 60 TV Drama Series / Shows, beside 20 albums sold world wide since 1991.
Amr Ismail became one of the bright images that reflect the Egyptian and the Middle Eastern music scene globally.
